Benefit Plan Changes Effective February 1st, 2024

We are pleased to announce the following benefit plan changes, effective February 1, 2024:

Prescription Drugs

The $50,000 lifetime maximum for prescription drug claims has been reset to $0 for all insured individuals.

Dental Care

Dental claims will now be reimbursed based on an upgrade to the 2022 dental fee guide.

In addition, the graduated increases to the level of dental and orthodontic (if applicable) maximum based on the number of years covered under the benefit plan have been eliminated.

Hearing Aids

Hearing aid coverage increased from $1,500 to $2,000 every 5 calendar years, including the reimbursement for the cost of hearing test.

Vision Care

Insured individuals are eligible for reimbursement for any two of prescription glasses, safety glasses, sunglasses and/or contact lenses to a maximum of $400 each, every two calendar years. Laser eye surgery may be reimbursed at $800 every two calendar years until the full cost has been recovered, provided no other eyewear/contact lenses are claimed.

Insured individuals are now eligible for the full vision care benefit regardless of the number of years covered under the benefit plan.

Continuous Glucose Monitors

The maximum eligible age for continuous glucose monitoring devices has been raised from 13 to 18.

Psychology Benefit

Both psychological testing and assessments now fall outside the professional and paramedical services maximum.
